Our hope is in Jesus .

Jesus did not yield up His life till He had accomplished the work which He came to do; and He exclaimed with His parting breath, "It is finished! ( SR 247) . mistreated , misunderstood and finally put to death by those he came to save , our savior gave it all for us . The apostle Paul says " He emptied himself " He came to rescue sinners and to restored fallen humanity back to God, he became man so he could take humanity to the higher courts in heaven . "Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, His kingly crown, and clothed His divinity with humanity, in order to become a substitute and surety for humanity, that dying in humanity He might by his death destroy him who had the power of death. " ( LHU  345) our only hope is in what Jesus did for us  and what he  is doing for us .He has opened the way so we can be with him " And if I come again , I will take you to myself that where I am you might be also " . The resurrection of Lazarus is a demonstration of what will happen at the last trumpet when the " dead in Christ shall rise first " Our Sister Daisy Roman , is resting in the lord , I remember when I made an appeal for someone to accept Jesus as Lord , she was the first person to raise her hand as a sign of accepting Jesus in her life and later she decided to get baptized to seal her life with Jesus .She is sleeping now , waiting for the last trumpet . For the Lord himself , shall descend from heaven with a shout , with the voice of the archangel , with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ shall first . We have this hope that soon we will see Daisy , not suffering , not in pain as we saw her last  but with great joy in the presence of her savior . He has finished the race , now the question is , will we join ? I pray that we will have this hope .

fear the wrong advisor

Do not be afraid; I  am the first and the last .  "  People asked an 89 year old man " why do you regret the most doing in your life " ? to that he answered " Worrying about things that never happened "   yet many of us  make our choices based on what we think it will happened if  we do it otherwise  or what people tells us it will happened . I remember when I  came to the United states and one relative knowing that I was a Sabbath keeper he told me that it was impossible to survive here if I did not work on the Sabbath , well  started working on Sabbaths because i was afraid of not making it here in the states . In 2006 I decided to quit my job and start going to church and  God showed me that I did not have to work on Sabbaths , that he could provide for our needs . When I went to seminary , I have learned the lesson , and when someone said " in order to do good in classes at seminary , you have to sacrifice , your family or your health " by the grace of God  I didnt sacrifice anything , I always made sure to spend time with family and I can say that God was there with me all the time . Jesus tells John in the book of revelation " Do not be afraid " but then he adds , I am the first and the last . So the reason we are not afraid is because Jesus is with us from beginning to end and he has showed us in the past that he is  faithful  and that we dont have to be afraid .Because he is the Alpha and the Omega , from beginning to end , he will be with us . So dont be afraid !  Many of our decisions are based on trying to avoid pain and suffering , but there is no guarantee that it will turn out the way we felt , besides , it is better to do what is right then do what is wrong even if we are rewarded by that , remember that God will take care of you . wanting to be first

Trying to understand God's plan for our lives is easy , the difficult part is to accept it ! The bible in the book of Hebrews presents a group of people that we call the " faith heroes " if we had called them that name when they were alive , probably they would had refused to called that because many of them , were just " ordinary " human beings  who served an extra ordinary God . At the end of that Chapter , we read about " the others " these are the people who did not received deliverance . The author of Hebrews says" Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection." Did these " others " refuse to be released " or God refuse to release them . By Nature , every human being wants to avoid suffering and pain  so what happened ? I believe God refuse to release them , but they die with hope knowing that we serve an extra ordinary God  who allowed his Son to go  through suffering and pain to save the human race and  after He shown that he was not in this to be first , now he is exalted at the right hand of God . So what are we in this for ?  I guess sooner or later we will have to answer to God and to others , the reason why we are in this walk . Are we in this because we want to be first and we are " trained " so that lay people can admire us and sees us as something else . Or are we in this thing called ministry because we love God and people that we can not do otherwise ? I pray it is because we love them as Jesus loves us . 

No Answer

When Job's friends tried to find answers to why Job was suffering , they assumed it was because Job's was hiding sins from God . In Jesus's time the disciples asked about the man who had been born blind  if he had sinned or his parents .As I finished a sermon , Carlos approached , he is a new visitor to our church .And he asked to pray for his daughter who has cancer , I called the elders and we prayed . Later on that day , we went to visit Daisy . She is only 19 and she has been through a lot . First she was in Chemo for one year , then about 2 months ago , they had to amputate her arm and now the cancer has comeback . She was sent home to die . We dont have an answer . What we know is how the great controversy ends .Ellen White says "The great controversy is ended. Sin and sinners are no more. The entire universe is clean. One pulse of harmony and gladness beats through the vast creation. From Him who created all, flow life and light and gladness, throughout the realms of illimitable space. From the minutest atom to the greatest world, all things, animate and inanimate, in their unshadowed beauty and perfect joy, declare that God is love." GC 678. I told Daisy , if we could fast forward this DVD we could see the end but now we are in the middle of the drama of the movie called the great controversy what we know is that Jesus wins . And at the end , we will be with him . let us live by faith in the middle of suffering knowing that we are closer and closer to the end and I  believe that at the end Jesus will have the answers for everything we've been through .What we know now is that he is with us suffering , we are not alone . so let's talk to him , because he has never promised no suffering in this world what he has promised is to never leave us nor forsake us And that is all we need now .

God's everlasting covenant .

When in January 13 2001 a powerful earthquake destroy my parents house and everything that  they had worked for their  entire lives was gone in minutes . I realized that I need to do something , So I decided to immigrate to the US . I risked  my life crossing illegally  the mexican border and then the US border and walking in the desert for three days knowing that many people dont make it .  For the first time in my life I was away from my family and for the first time I was afraid . I remember praying silently  for God to bless me and that I would serve him all my life . Unfortunately , I forgot about God  but he never forgot about me . In the same way , the nation of Israel , Adam , Noah and every human being has failed to fulfill the requirement of the covenant but Jesus coming to die for us , Has taken our place . As Ellen White says " He was treated as we deserved so that we might be treated as he deserves "  In ancient near stern culture , the covenants were  made by the cutting of animals and pronouncing the stipulations , promises , blessings and curses  but even though  we failed our part , Jesus redeemed us by fulfilling our part !! Isaiah says  talking about Mesiah  Surely he took up our pain 
   and bore our suffering, 
yet we considered him punished by God, 
   stricken by him, and afflicted. 
⁵ But he was pierced for our transgressions, 
   he was crushed for our iniquities; 
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, 
   and by his wounds we are healed. 
⁶ We all, like sheep, have gone astray,  
   each of us has turned to our own way; 
and the LORD has laid on him 
   the iniquity of us all. 

All I can say is what a savior !

How to know God's will for your life .

Henry Blackaby in his book  " Men of integrity says "The first funeral I ever conducted was for a beautiful three-year-old. She was the first child born to a couple in our church, and the first grandchild in their extended family. Unfortunately, she was spoiled. While visiting the little girl's home one day, I observed that she loved to ignore her parents' instructions. When they told her to come, she went. When they said "sit down," she stood up. Her parents laughed, finding her behavior cute.

One day their front gate was inadvertently left open. The parents saw their child escaping out of the yard and heading toward the road. To their horror, a car was racing down the street. As she ran out between two parked cars, they both screamed at her to stop and turn back. She paused for a second, looked back at her parents, then gleefully laughed as she turned and ran directly into the path of the oncoming car.

The parents rushed their little girl to the hospital, but she died from her injuries. As a young pastor, this was a profound lesson for me. I realized I must teach God's people not only to recognize His voice but also immediately to obey His voice when they hear it. It is life." Many people ask , How can I know God's will for my life ? but when they find it in the word of God they refuse to obey . The apostle Paul in his letter to Hebrews says " if you hear his voice do not harden your heart " I pray that we recognize God's voice but not only that but also obey his voice .

A new life

the 4th of  April at 11:09 pm we receive our third child and our first boy Fredy Reinosa II was born .

why we are here .

realizing what is our reason for our existence , should be our priority in life . Many people  have lived and died and before dying have exclaim the words of the wise man " All is vanity " . Money , prosperity in life , friends , being "productive to society " influence , power etc  " King Salomon says "

Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun." King Salomon had everything  , he says " I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor. you would expect that the next sentence would be , and I was really happy and enjoy life  but he exclaims , everything was meaningless  . In contrast the apostle Paul had everything  , he was a respected person in society , he was a Pharisee , a Roman citizen etc . He had it all . but when he met Jesus , his life was transformed , and he became a humble servant of Jesus . Yes , he was persecuted , suffered afflictions , necessities  and the burden of ministry and being misunderstood by enemies and friends . But for him , to live is Christ , to die is gain . at the end of his life , he knows his life has not been in vain , he says " I have fought   the good fight , I have finished the race , I have  kept the faith "and then he continues " Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. Do you love Jesus appearing ? if it is so , why are you doing to fulfill your calling in life , he has called us to serve him , and serving him we find real meaning to our lives . Let's surrender all to Jesus .

distracted at the crucial time !

For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.  But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” ACTS 5:38,39 NIV.
Last year  Doug Batchelor preached a sermon against " Women as pastors " that sermon created a great controversy .After that sermon the" Adventist today " and spectrum  blogs were filled with commentaries  for or against  the views presented in that sermon . That sermon has been one of the most controversial in recent years . Does  our divided church needs this to be "relevant " . For me I learned a lesson that I hope I will never forget and that is , that our church is bigger than any individual  it doesn't matter how popular that person is , because it is God's church And God is in control . That has been shown in the way the church has been taken care  of the controversy at "La Sierra " we need to trust our system and work with it and allow the Holy spirit to lead . We are living in interesting times , I am amazed at certain group of individuals that believe that if we " modify the 28 fundamentals " that if we "fix the language " of that everything will be ok . We should remember that our Pioneers didn't think it was a good idea to have a " creed " . The Bible is our rule of faith and practice . When I was a bible worker , I never took with me any of those " bible studies guides " I just took my bible and from the bible , I allow Jesus to lead people to him . God has called each one of us to preach the gospel , unfortunately , we have lost our mission  and we get distracted in issues that will not get us ready to be translated  and at the crucial moment when Jesus comes , he is going to find us playing games while there is a world that doesn't know him . Have mercy on us Jesus ! The advice of  Gamaliel to the Pharisees is something we all need to think about . Ministry is not about authority   or who is in control . My Dad had only a fourth grade education , he was never a "pastor " by the church , he never received a salary from the church  but he help plant churches all over the western part of El salvador . Jesus says "Do not work for the food that spoils ,but for the food that endures to eternal life which the son of man will give you " John 6:27.   I pray that we will  proclaim the  everlasting gospel and  don't get distracted by all these controversies , at the same time , let's allow God to lead, let's not be afraid of the leading of the Holy spirit , remember that he will lead us into all truth . And Truth many times , goes against ideas that we treasure and is rooted in our heart . Only Jesus can help us , let's turn to him with humility .

El apóstol Pablo escribiendo a los Romanos dice: "1 Y ello, la comprensión de la actualidad: La hora ha llegado para que se despierte de su sueño, pues nuestra salvación está ahora más cerca que cuando creímos. 12 La noche está a punto de terminar, el día ya casi está aquí. Por lo tanto, sé fervoroso y arrepiéntete. 20 ¡Aquí estoy! Yo estoy a la puerta y llamo. Si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré, y cenaré con esa persona, y ellos conmigo.
   21 Para el que es victorioso, le daré el derecho de sentarse conmigo en mi trono, así como que salió victorioso y se sentó con mi Padre en su trono. 22 El que tenga oídos, que escuchen lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. " Jesús está llamando a la puerta de nuestro corazón, ¿le vas a dejar  entrar  permitirle  cambiar su vida? Pido a Dios que digamos que si .

Are we there yet ?

We are living in the last days .

 We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plaques and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.

“The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones.” – Ellen G. White, Testimonies, vol. 9, page 11.

Are we there yet ?  The Apostle Paul writing to the Romans says “¹ And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. ¹² The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. ¹³ Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. ¹⁴ Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.( Romans 13) In Mathew 24 we read about the signs of the return of Christ “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

 ⁴ Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. ⁵ For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. ⁶ You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁷ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of birth pains.   Verse  8  says “ All these are the beginning of birth pains . Contractions get  more frequent  when the baby is about to be born . So all these events ( earthquakes  and  all these disasters ) are  becoming more and more frequent , We know that the world is changing  . What about the church ? Mathew 25 Describe the church  “ sleeping “ and some without the oil of the Holy Spirit  , in Revelation 3: ¹⁵ I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! ¹⁶ So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. ¹⁷ You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.” The good news is that Jesus doesn’t leave us there  ,  he continues “hose whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. ²⁰ Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

   ²¹ To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. ²² Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Jesus is knocking at the door of our hearts , would you let him  in  and allow him to change  your life ? I pray that we will answer .

No fear for the future .

      When we look at the uncertainty of the future and how difficult things look ahead. We see all the impossibilities and doubt fills our minds but there is no reason to fear the future.  The nation of Israel before crossing the Jordan river, I am sure  they were thinking about how difficult the conquest on the new territory about the challenges they were going to face settling in, I am sure they had fear of failure and doubt about accomplishing all the things God had promised them.  New challenges in life always cause us fear and doubt so Joshua tell the children of Israel "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. ⁴ Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before."Joshuah 3:4 

      Joshua is assuring them that God's presence will be with them.  I wonder how many times, God put new challenges in our lives, new territories  that we need to conquer in our spiritual walk  and you know "you have never been that way before "But God delivers you. Every day is a new battle, How can we face those battles without fear?  Joshuah led God by does something remarkable he tells 12 leaders "Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, ⁶ to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’  ⁷ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever” Joshua 4.  We need to have memorials in life and when we are facing trials ,and challenges we need to remember the way God has delivered us in the past . The messenger of the Lord tells us " we have nothing to fear for the future except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us and his teaching in our past history " LS 196 . Ellen White encourages us to look to our past and see how God has led us. 

      Two years ago, I was doing bible work in Visalia, Ca.  But my dream has always been to be a Pastor, after 7 months I spoke to the leaders of the Central California conference and they told me they could not sponsor me, that they had some people already waiting, I was the new guy and there was not enough money to send me.  I felt so disappointed and decided to come to the Seminary anyway, with two small children, my wife, and without any source of income or any savings, by the grace of God I will finish my Mdiv this year. God has provided in miraculous ways, God has bless my work with the little income to pay for classes, rent, food, clothing, and all the things that we need and good friends who have done so much, praying and helping me with money just when things seem impossible, God has made a way.  Praise Jesus for all his blessings for giving us memorials of his blessings  in our past so we don't have fear for the future . 

Near at the door but be patient .

Is Jesus coming really soon ?.On the one  hand , there are some Christians who are making plans and spending all their energies and efforts in the things of this world and there are others who are  only thinking to  flee to the mountains  . Who is right and who is wrong ?The answer is both ! let me explain this , in the book of James 5 :7" Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. ⁸ You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near." What is James trying to tell us in this text ? If the coming of the Lord is near why do we need to be patient ? what lessons can we learn from the farmers? How are we supposed to wait ? like the lady who wants to flee to the mountains ? or like the person who have their priorities in this life ? James is telling us , Jesus could come soon or it could be many years what you need to do is work as the farmer , the farmer just doesn't wait for the harvest , he works to get a harvest . If he only waits and doesn't work , there is no harvest .Let's keep ourselves busy in the Lord's vineyard ,and one day we will see that great harvest of revelation 14 ^"14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
¹⁵And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
¹⁶And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." I long for that day when the son of man will trust his sickle and reap the ripe harvest .So let us live our lives for Jesus watching for his coming , preparing others , and keeping ourselves busy doing his will so if it is soon or in a thousand years , or whenever he comes , I want to hear the words " well done , good and faithful servant , Is that something you want to be a part of ? I pray that all of us can be part of that great multitude , the redeemed . Blessings .

At the feet of Jesus .

The hymn says " draw me Jesus near the cross " This should be our prayer always. When we compare ourselves with others we will always feel good about ourselves, the scribe felt good about himself because he was not like the Publican ( Luke 18 ) we need to realize the sin is more than just "making the wrong decisions " but sin is a condition that we all are .For all have sinned Paul says and fall short of the glory of God . Ellen White explains this in Steps to Christ page 18 "It is impossible for us, of ourselves, to escape from the pit of sin in which we are sunken. Our hearts are evil, and we cannot change them. "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one." "The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Job 14:4; Romans 8:7. Education, culture, the exercise of the will, human effort, all has their proper sphere, but here they are powerless. They may produce an outward correctness of behavior, but they cannot change the heart; they cannot purify the springs of life. There must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before men can be changed from sin to holiness. That power is Christ. His grace alone can quicken the lifeless faculties of the soul, and attract it to God, to holiness". Yes, we need to realize how our condition is Jeremiah 17 says that our heart is desperate wicked .I remember one person who always spoke about "standing up for God “ what she meant was that when something did not appear to be right, that person would "yell, mistreat and accuse people " God doesn't need those " standing up for him " The Apostle Peter understood this, after the miracle fish, he realized he was in the presence of God and Luke 5 says When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” ⁹ For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will be fishers of man " it is only at the feet of Jesus when we are on our knees when we realize how sinful we are and that only Jesus can heal us ,but he never leave us how we are , he never condemn us ,he always say "don't be afraid " because when we recognize our sinfulness , he knows that he can work with us , I pray that all of us spend more time on our knees at the feet of Jesus so we can experience his grace .

A life transformed

How long oh Lord ? that is the cry that trough out the ages has been heard from the suffering , from the persecuted from the oppressed and it seems that God doesn't hear. where was God when my Father died said the woman looking at me with Anger mixed with pain and suffering . since her Dad was killed by a drunk driver, life got really bad for her , she was sexually abused by her step father , she told me how at a young age she had to leave the house and live on the streets , she became addicted to drugs and sold her body to pay for her drugs .she was in her early 30's but her appearance showed the abuse she had done to her life .I had spoke about the love of God , how much Jesus loves us and has a plan for our lives . She could not believe it , I didn't try to answer why all those things happened to her but I just told her that one day , God himself will wipe away the tear from our eyes ( Rev 21:4) and How God is soon going to put an end to this crazy world .I told her that Jesus suffered as she was going through these things and that one day, Satan the one who causes all this suffering will be destroyed .I told her how much God suffered when Jesus died on the cross and that reason he did that is so we can be with him forever .That night , something changed , I could see the power of the gospel working in this woman , I left that place and one day somebody call my name , it was Blanca , she was smiling , I could see the healing that had taken place in her life , she had married and they had two children , I pray with them and my heart rejoiced greatly seeing the transformation of life . As the hymn says " there is power in the blood" yes there is power in the blood of Jesus . I don't know what you might be going right now , I don't know how heavy is your burden . I just know that Jesus says " come unto me all those who labor and are carry heavy burdens and I will give rest " I long to have that rest knowing that I have surrender all to Jesus , Would you like to do that ? tell Jesus how you feel , he is our best friend.

Sudden intervention

So far as world conditions are concern , No change for the better is promised in the bible , this is not pessimism . It is scriptural truth . I am concern when Christians think that change can come into this world if we just elect " the right leaders ". 2 Timothy 3:1-5 "You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. 2People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything that is good. 4They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. 5Even though they will make a show of being religious, their religion won't be real. Don't have anything to do with such people. ( contemporary English version ) Today the forces of darkness and unrighteousness are everywhere in the ascendancy . Men may construct theories proclaiming the gospel of gradual improvement of the saving of civilization as we know it , but the Holy spirit denies it. Christ said " My kingdom is not of this world ( John 18:36) Christ is pictured as the rider on the white horse leading the armies of heaven . he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. ( Rev 19:15,16) His return is sudden , catastrophic . It breaks in upon the world with terrifying suddenness. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. ( 1 Thessalonians 5:3) The return of Christ means an entire new order from above not from within . How can we be part of that ? The invitation has been given and continues to go , Jesus is calling each one of us , he says " come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest . You might say I already know Jesus , but knowing Jesus is an ongoing process ,it never stops , we need to walk with God daily . abiding in him , staying connected , living for him and willing to die for him . It is that what you want , what you desire , I invite you to pray right now and ask Jesus for a new experience with him , and for faith to believe in his promises not just for forgiveness of sin but also for power to overcome sin in your life .

To live is Christ .

We live in an age where people live in search of " happiness " some spend all their money trying to buy things and thinking that "if I can have that, I will be happy " other give themselves to sexual passions and spend their lives seeking for meaning in life ,doing those things which are the privilege of marrieage , the words " fornication and adultery " are foreign to many today .Families , spent all their savings going and gambling what they could have used to benifit the one who is need . Life in this posmodern age ,has become self centered , and people kill to steal that which they can not have . The word of God , gives us timeless lessons of faith and surrender , the apostle Paul in the book of Philipians says " For me to live is Christ and to die is gain" What ! To live is christ ? in America we have freedom , and we can say "Iam a christian " and the most people can do is , laugh at you . But in the time of the apostle Paul to be A Christian was to be willing to die for Christ , in fact , when the apostle wrote those words , he was a prisoner for preaching the gospel . Many of us , say today that we are Christians , but our lives deny our own words , there is no difference between the person who believes in God and the Atheist , both live the same way ! But not Paul , the question we need to ask is , if we know that we are not doing good , how can we get right with God , How can we have that passion for Christ , ready to die for him. I want to submit to you ,that we need to see Christ , the apostle Paul in his way to Damascus , he met Jesus and after that his life was not the same . Have you met Jesus ,really ? Has your life change ? are you doing the same things you were doing before , with the only difference that now you hide ? friends is time to surrender our lives to Jesus and to trust him as his word , and to learn to live by everyword that preceeds out of the mouth of God . faith journey

studying a book called " the great controversy " by Ellen white . And studying the history of the protestant reformation and reading how God called different people to serve him. I feel so deep in my heart that God was calling me , I quit my job and started looking for work and trying to find a job that would allow me time to "witness " about God and time to spend with my family ,Sarah was just 4 months old , I couldn't find work during the whole year but somehow God provided for our needs , in 2007 I found work in the field ,picking cherries and apples . Making minimun wage and working in very hot weather outside , 80's and 90's I was able to give bible studies and by the grace of God , I lead a whole family to baptism .2008 ,Hannah was born I applied to Amazing facts college of evangelism , some wonderful people from Washington state sponsor me , we were in weimar , Ca and we did bible work in Lincoln, Ca .2009 I moved to Visalia , I was hired as a bible worker , I told the conference leaders that God had called me to be a Pastor , they say there were no oportunities , after much prayer , we decided to move to andrews University and study a Master in divinity , I had $1000 dollars , after first month of rent and deposit ,I had only $70 dollars in my account . But God has provided for a us , and we are learning to trust in God and believing the promise of Hebrews 13:5 " I will never leave you nor forsake you "
